Preserving culture through education of our youth.
Albanian School
The Albanian Heritage Foundation, a proud nonprofit organization, opened its school in Columbus, Ohio in June 2024. Since then, it has become a vibrant hub for cultural education, serving as both a classroom and a community space.
Classes take place Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
September – May
at 4077 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH.
The school currently serves enthusiastic students, each building a stronger connection to their Albanian heritage while growing together as a community.
Entirely funded by generous donations, the school thrives thanks to the dedication of two passionate teachers. They not only teach the Albanian language and culture but also provide valuable tutoring in English writing. This unique blend of education empowers students with essential skills while deepening their understanding of their rich cultural background.
The school is free for everyone.
This is made possible by the generosity of community members who believe in preserving our language and culture.
If you’re able to contribute for your child’s participation, we welcome your support to help cover the school’s expenses and keep this opportunity accessible to all.

Anastasia Caushi
Preschool
I graduated from Aleksandër Moisiu University in Durrës, where I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Primary Education. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have built a strong pedagogical foundation and developed a deep passion for educating children.
I have experience working with children of various age groups in Albania, engaging not only in teaching but also in volunteer activities across different schools. These experiences have helped me better understand the individual needs of each child and have allowed me to develop a sensitive, inclusive, and motivating approach to the learning process.
My love for children is at the core of my profession. I believe that patience is the key to success in education, and that every child deserves to be heard, understood, and encouraged to reach their full potential. In the presence of children, we all rediscover ourselves and keep alive that pure and sincere part within us that should never be lost.
As a teacher, my goal is to create a safe, inspiring, and loving environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn.

School age
I completed my studies at the Faculty of Education Sciences, in the primary education cycle, earning the title “Teacher for grades 1–5 of the 9-year school” at the University “Eqerem Çabej” in Gjirokastër.
Immediately after my studies, I began working as a teacher at the Regional Education Directorate in Fier, and I practiced this profession for 15 years.
My dedication and contribution throughout these years have taught me that imparting knowledge is one of the most meaningful contributions to society and humanity.
I have also contributed to the selection of school textbooks in the district where I worked and participated in many professional seminars during that time.
Working with children is very important to me because they are the foundation of our society.
As a teacher, I have learned that my role is not only to educate, but also to inspire, support, and help each child grow with confidence. Love for children and communication with them are the two strongest tools in my work.
After several years, I had the honor and opportunity to return to this profession, contributing to teaching the Albanian language to the children of my fellow compatriots. The main goal is for our children to learn the language, culture, and traditions of our ancestors.
To be part of their development, and above all, to see their progress is the most beautiful and rewarding part of my work.
